The Flappy Bird game was released May 26th in 2013 and received a rise in popularity in the early part of 2014. The Flappy Bird game was then removed from both the Apple App Store and Google Play by its own creator Dong Nguyen on February 10th 2014 after the creator felt it was too addictive and was being over used.
Towards the end of January in 2014 Flappy Bird was the most downloaded free game in the Apple APP Store and during this period the developer claimed that Flappy Bird was earning around $50,000 a day from in-app advertisements as well as sales.
Following the removal of the game the media reported that merchants on eBay were offering phones with the app pre-installed for sums of money around $1,499 and more.
The Game play is simple and anyone can play the game. People started posting on YouTube videos of them playing the game and the best video to understand how difficult the game can be is the video “Flappy Bird – High Score 999! impossible!“:-
