DVD drive not detected
If your DVD drive is not found in Windows 7 you can try a regedit fix.
- Go to START
- RUN
- REGEDIT
- Browse for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlClass{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
- Delete both UpperFilters and LowerFilters
Try a reboot and see if the DVD drive now appears.
If this doesnt work you can
- Start
- Disk Management
- Select “Create and format hard disk partitions”
- Right-click optical drive
- Select “Change Drive Letter and Paths”
- Select “Change”
- Choose a new drive letter.
- Reboot and it should appear.
